The Petzl ATTACHE BAR is a pear-shaped locking carabiner designed for controlled rope handling and proper load orientation.
It is suited for climbers who want a reliable carabiner for belaying and rope systems.
What this solves
Carabiners can rotate under load, leading to cross-loading — a weaker and less safe position.
How this solves it
The removable positioning bar keeps the carabiner aligned along its major axis, ensuring:
- correct load direction
- improved safety
- more stable handling
Why this tool
Unlike standard carabiners, this offers controlled orientation:
- BAR → prevents cross-loading
- round basket → smoother rope movement
- screw-lock → simple and reliable locking
It is designed for clean, predictable rope systems.
